both of mine are toast, non repairable. Spector probably has one if you're rich.

surely not essential . the small inset picture shows the canadian short rubber hose that is used in place of the accordian usa model.

this piece you are interested in looks similar to a 4 runner fuel filler hose, that I ended up using to make a a connection to my 45 tank...if you have a 4runner parts rig near by, might work

No, it isn't essential. I am just a little anal about having all the right parts in place. Have looked at both SOR and cruiserparts.net but no luck yet. Will keep checking.

That hose was pretty bad on my 40.

NAPA had a generic replacement - very cheap...
