Want to run a wire from my dash area to my license plate back up camera.
Currently using a WiFi transmitter/receiver to send the video signal.

The camera is part of my License Plate cover I purchased several years ago and it works well.
Now I have a dash mounted Android/Carplay device to replace the console mounted 7" display.

Would you recommend popping off door thresholds and use a stiff rod to route the camera wire under the carpet to the back tailgate?
How to get the wire onto the tailgate?
Thanks for ideas.

This is the LAMTTO device that works well with my Android phone:

This is the 7" backup camera display that I would like to remove and utilize the LAMTTO for backup:

I ran the wire under the carpet and sills, then up and along the top/inside of the far-rear interior trim panel. I just popped off the top of that panel and taped the wire to the body. Then came down and out the corner next to the tailgate where it floats/spans that gap. Don't overthink it.
