Reasonably priced, in excellent shape. I wish I could afford it right now.

I know the company (ARS disaster services I beleive). They also have at least one Unimog. This is a great looking rig to say the least.

22K is too rich for my blood.

sweet ride, i would love to have it...

That's one sweet rig. Guess since it won't fit my garage, I'll have to pass...:crybaby:;p

Awesomeness right there. I'd love to own that!

Sell the house, quit your job, buy this rig and tell the wife your both going for a long drive....across the continent. Very cool. Where would you get parts from??

Volvo.

Dream on fellas. That thing is flat out at 65 mph which means it cruising speed would be 50mph.I bet its hot as hell in summer sitting above that engine and it would be as noisy as hell all the time.
If you want to stay in North America you would be crazy to want to take that on a trip when you could have an enormously comfortable Ford 350 with a slide on camper.
The fantasy of these vehicles lasts about 15 mins once you are sitting in them.

Great for a collector ,terrible for a serious road trip.

I have one of these, purchased from Sweden as reserve stock, it's 30 years old and with only 600km's when I collected it. Great truck parts are easy as many are Land Rover, engine is the B30 Volvo petrol and as said flat out at 60MPH..

It's the next project after my 75 Troopy.

Happy to take more photos or answer any further questions on these.

^^^ Very cool and I'd love to see some more pics. :D

I have one too, converted it to 1KZ-t and R151f with a split case.

Although I respect some of the critique, I'd like to know what real-world experience lies behind it.

When we brought ours home we cruised comfortably at 60mph with a truck that felt tight in the steering, good brakes etc.

They were originally designed so simple that a farmers boy could fix them with a spanner in the woods, and is a mechanically opposite to the Pinzgauer, but with at least comparable capacity.

I went for the diesel conversion to get better mpg, and because I could.

The box on the back is the only drawback; it weighs a ton, literally, 1,000 kgs, I weighed it, a big room for improvement.

With the 1KZ-t conversion, without the box, it weighs 2,100 kgs, pretty good for a 6x6 with 40" tyres (Michelin XZL 11R16)
Don't put it down, although the price is a tad high.

Having owned a shiny new 1976 FJ55, I've already endured all those hardships and deprivations.

So long as one is as attentive to the trip, it's as good as the destination.:D

For $22000? How do those do off-road, like if you were going to spend 6 months in Baja?

Considering the fact that all the roads in Baja are now practically paved, fine. ;) F350s are common down there, with big campers! Parts readily available, etc.
