So my 14 LX570 has 160K miles on it, and I didn't see any service record for AHC service.
I read some AHC articles from sticky, but I was overwhelmed by the info.
Since this is my first time owning a LX with AHC, I thought I might try a Lexus dealer.

First dealer, Hennessey Lexus of Gwinntt.
The service advisor insisted that my LX has an air suspension system not hydraulic.
Finally, service manger stepped in and said LX has AHC and uses AHC fluid.
He said that AHC flush service requires 3 hrs of their shop time so labor is like $480.
He also said I NEED 3 cans of 2.5L AHC fluid and it will cost me $150 per can?? :writer:
So $480 + 450 = 930 not including tax and other junk fees.
Honestly, it seems like no one serviced AHC recently, and they all point in different directions.
They did state that they have an updated AHC fluid.

Went to Nalley Lexus of Roswell shortly after.
They said they don't have any AHC fluid.
Ordered a few months ago but no sign of ETA or cost per 2.5L can.

At this point, it looks like I have to do it myself, other than clueless local Lexus dealer to experiment with my LX.
Never even tried a brake bleeding job myself before but at least I have pretty extensive of tools with me.

Where do order your AHC fluid or should I wait until next year like most guys in here?
Any chance I will mess up while attempting to change AHC fluid myself for the first time?
Should I change 4 Accumulators as well? I doubt no one changed it before.
The ride is a little softer compare to newer LX I've driven before.

Yeah, this is mainly why we all diy the flush. There is more practical experience here than the Lexus dealer will have flushing.
Going cost for fluid is $30/liter. Flush can comfortably be done with 5 liter.

I just got two new 2.5L cans at my local dealer (Toyota, not Lexus). They were something like $65 a pop :( $150 per can is insane, I thought I was paying too much, but was happy to find the cans at all. Stevinson Toyota West is one of the more helpful/knowledgeable parts departments around. I suspect these will start circulating to the dealer network soon.

Could you share the part# from Toyota?
What year/model did you tell them when picking up your AHC fluid?
I didn't know Toyota LC uses AHC fluid...

Thanks you so much for the link!

Search the forums for cruiserparts.net before purchasing anything from them. That's all I'll say on that topic. I'm not aware of any toyotas that use AHC either, but it's still a toyota part number and that's where I found it. Didn't even try Stevinson Lexus across the street. I just told them it was for a Lexus LX 570, but ultimately they dug it up by searching for "AHC" or "suspension fluid" in the computer.

Here's the part number:

Thanks for the clarification.
Will try to stop by at my local Toyota dealer and see what they have to say about it.
Did you have to special order them or they had them in stock?

Took my LX (13) to 3 dealerships all told me it’s not require, it’s a closed system. One dealer told me if I insiste, they were not responsible for anything broken bolts etc…..

Oh boy... they're worse than my local Lexus service centers.

BTW, is this new updated fluid and not the old stuff with issues?

They had it in stock. From what I've gathered here on the forum, all the defective fluid came in the plastic bottles. I haven't inspected this stuff yet, but assume it's a new batch since they just got it into the dealership, the cans didn't have any dust or anything, and the cans have been hard to find for the last few years.

Oh I see... thank you.
Will definitely check out at my local Toyota dealers and see what happen.
Will update the board.

Order it from partsq.
