A couple of us drove by Virginia Lake two weeks ago. It looks like a beautiful area. I hope you reschedule the trip as a long distance club run. I would like to attend if timing works out then. Keep us posted…

Ok, we’ll definitely have to reschedule as I was looking forward to camping at this spot with you all. Anyhow, we will be in the Virginia Lakes area this Friday so we are still planning to check out the area/proposed camping area and maybe do some kayaking with our new kayak on one of the Virgina Lakes. We actually already drove by the turn off to Virginia Lakes on our way up the 395 to Oregon and it looked amazing even from the 395.

Well we weren't there for very long, but Virginia Lakes didn't disappoint. Like most of the eastern Sierra Nevada lakes the scenery up there is amazing. The only major bummer was we enjoyed it so much and stayed for a while that we weren't able to make it to Copper Top before closing.😜

Virginia Lakes looks amazing. Heading to scout the area this week ... Trumbull Lake Campground and Kavanaugh Ridge.

Have camped at Buckeye and checked out the hot spring in the past. 👍

Copper Top in Big Pine is worth the stop ... pulled pork for the win!!!
