vin code problem 1985 pickup

have a 85 pickup sr5. vin code on the firewall and stamped frame nr is not the same. on the firewall its stamped: JT4RN66S9F50899xx, and modell RN65-
on the frame the nr is:RN65-50899xx
is this normal? thought it should be the same nr?

Normal. What matters are the 7 numbers. The RN65 tells me you either have a long bed truck, or an xcab truck. If you have an xcab truck, and it's EFI, then I hate you. <- official MUD welcome.

OK, a few posts ago I called out somebody for running a cool truck under out noses without pics. I told that individual

and he called me out wanting to know where that rule was published. Well, here we go again, forum regulars. So, the general wisdom here, and on the MUD forum in general, is pics or the truck doesn't exist.

Geez, seriously? SR5, e-locked, EFI. Just don't tell me it's gray. I'm having a bad case of déjà vu. Except, mine was dual case. I've tossed the glove, please pick it up, and post up some pics to make us all slobber.

Oh shoot I missed that little portion. Yeah could be possible or it's just too good to be true.
Reason I asked about Texas is I just talked to a guy who just got a 85 exactly like this one he described, figured it could be possible. Lol. I'm hopefully getting a entire front axle assembly from him for a few bucks. Cross my fingers.
