Selling my 1991 Toyota Land cruiser 80 series VX limited. I bought and built this vehicle with plans of bringing it to Australia with me, but import costs have made that unrealistic. The body has 300xxx km, the engine has done 230xxx km, and the transmission was rebuilt 4 years ago.
The engine is very healthy, routine maintenance, oil change every 5k, replaced the timing belt and water pump at 295k
Transmission is good and strong. It has a factory transmission cooler from an American 80 series to keep it cool, and a new kick down cable installed. No issues with it getting hot
2.5" lift, Old Man Emu heavy coils replaced at 275k, and Ome castor correction bushings, shocks are Dobinsons IMS.
33" BFG KO2's
The vehicle is set up for touring, Arb bullbar up front, with 12000lbs warn winch and 100w Piaa spotlights. Costal off-road rock sliders 90% complete. Just need to be installed. Prinsu roof platform, with 270 awning. Camp platform in the back. I removed the driver side rear seat to make the platform a bit bigger. (Cones with the seat) The platform has been coated with marine padded carpet.
Can comfortably sleep 2 in the back.
I have been through and inspected everything mechanically.
New:
- sway bar end links
- front axles, seals, knuckles, manual hubs. (Truck is still awd)
- U-joints front to back
- bushings where required.
- depot headlights and Philips bulbs, aligned so you don't blind others on the road.
- diffs are both in great shape,
- turbo is healthy
- new injectors at 270k
- The fuel pump has been turned up a bit. Never had an issue with egts on those longer climbs.
The bad:
- It has been sitting in a driveway under a cover for a year. (It runs a bit smokey) I've been trying to bring to to Australia, and haven't had success.
- rear passenger window disconnected. The rear window tracks need replacing, I have the tracks, just never did it.
- typical paint fade
- a few bumps and bruises
-i would replace the breaks. They work fine, but rear rotors are tired and hoses are starting to look a bit old
- hitch has been removed, I found a crack on it, could be fixed if you're inclined.
-Driver seat is worn, spring starting to poke through.
-interior has a few sun cracks
Comes with spares and extra parts...
