I have the VIAS setup to connect my IPOD to the stereo and its worked pretty well the last 4 years. The IPOD is starting to become unreliable and I have shifted away from the apple stuff everywhere else. In my other vehicles (including my 40) I just put my music on a memory stick and plug it into a USB port from the radio. The ipod provides no vale there.

I noticed VIAS has a setup that you can plug in a memory stick and was wondering if anyone has that or another brand

Note this discussion is only relevant to the factory nav setup in my 2004

I have the wired VAIS in the LX and just put in the Bluetooth VAIS in the land cruiser. It has USB, but only for charging. I personally think the Bluetooth is more convenient than anything you have to plug in and it looks cleaner too. You can use whatever brand phone you have as a wireless memory stick.
