I had installed a VIAS SL3 to control my Ipod 4 years ago when I built my 100. I had gotten spoiled in other cars just needing a USB Memory stick and not being tied to apple. I even installed a pioneer deck in my 40 and have all my music on a memory stick.

My ipod started to die so I swapped the VIAS I had with the MML version. Loaded up my music stick into multiple lists and it has worked great for the last few weeks. I highly recommend it. The only think different you have to do is layout the files in the memory stick per the manual. You have to download a program listed in the manual to build the m3u catalogue. Your playlist is limited to 999 songs, but you can have many playlists and switch between them on the touch screen. The touchscreen shows the playlist name and the song name or artist name

Once the file formatting was done there were no issues

The music is crisp and unlike the older setup starts up where it was when you shut the car off. That's a feature I like.

I mounted the device in the center console using Velcro to the DVD player. This provides easy access to the memory stick
