Very specific tranny question...TH350 vs. 4l60e

My '79 had a TH350 mounted in it behind an old carb'd 350 engine. The new plans call for an LT-1 with a 4l60e.

My question: How much longer is the 4l60e than the TH350?

I was hoping to leave the mounts already welded to the frame in place. Do any of you guys have enough experience with these two trannies to know the specific dimensional differences?

P.S. I've searched and found one topic that mentions the length of the 4l60e at 21 7/8" and the TH350 at 21 3/4". That doesn't sound right...but it would be good for me!

NOVAK has the trans lengths at

TH350-21.7

4L60E- 21.5

I came up with 350 - 21.75

4L60E - 23.4

Unless you have the later 4L60E which comes in at 21.9 , the later one has the 6 bolt pattern in the rear

I'm gonna go find my donor vehicle today and measure the 4l60e that's in it I guess. It's in a '95 Camaro....do you guys think that'll be old or new (4 bolt or 6 bolt)?
