I drive my 2006 lx470 to lunch. When I come back out every window is down and the sunroof is open. I remember pushing the lock button and guarantee the truck was locked when I walked away from it. Valuables were all in the truck in clear site and nothing was take. Also there is no way it was the SO.

Anybody had this happen before?

You held the unlock button long enough to activate the " auto windows down and open sun roof feature". Dealer, or yourself, can disable this feature using TechStream.

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Embarrassed. Never knew that feature. You have to hold it down while they roll, so it had to be pressed for a long time to happen. Something to be aware of I guess. Thanks!

Can I turn this feature on on my 1999?

Holding down the unlock button on your key will open all of these. Likely accidentally pressed in your pocket.

Do the doors unlock as well, or just all the windows open? If doors still locked, then thieves unlocking from the inside and opening door will set off alarm.

That's only on the LX450's. Not an option on the UZJ100 LC's as far as I know.

All "recent" Lexus vehicles will do that by holding down the unlock button for approx 3 seconds.

Same thing with my X5 - holding the key unlocks the doors then opens the windows and sunroof.
Supposedly, the Euro market BMW's allow you to also close all the windows and sunroof with the push of a button. Disabled feature for the US :crybaby:

My ES has this feature, I use it on hot days as I'm getting ready to leave my office. I can see my car from my office window, it's usually parked about 20' away.

I'm adding keyless entry to my pickup, and I'm gonna add this feature too.

The doors will unlock, but if nobody opens a door within 30 seconds, they automatically lock again. I think this can be disabled, though.
