Well to be honest I was being funny because I thought you missed a zero. But at that price its just about worth my while to drive up there.

I'll have to think about it, but it'd take me months to find a free weekend. I relinquish my dibs, but I'll keep this in mind.

Not to worry, I kinda figgered ( I don't take internet "dibs" terribly seriously)

I may have a use for this engine actually, I might patch up the pan, see how it runs, package it with a 5spd 60 for a rolling fj improvement kit:grinpimp:

Where you located at exactly?

Chemainus. Between Nanaimo and Victoria on Vancouver Island.

What turbo is that? Looks like a homebrew manifold?
Would this mate to a h55f in my 85 bj60?
Any history on the motor?

Thanks!

same engine as your bj, so yep, it would fit. No history, I bought it with a 5speed attached, and I wanted the 5speed. Was already removed from the 60. Likely due to the 60 rusting out
Turbo is garrett, hot side is volvo cold side is something else, dodge daytona I think. New bushings in the centre section.

Manifold is indeed homebrew. :hillbilly:

Turbo set up hasn't been run yet. I was building it for my 42, this was my "mockup" engine in the garage for building brackets and manifolds etc, then I picked up a 3b with a axt setup on it already, so I'm going to go with that.

So now that I don't really need the engine, it's just in my way.

If it hasn't gone by the weekend I'm going to get it running and see how it is.

This was sortof the "make it go away quick" price, and the turbo was a bit of sugar on top to help , but if it's not going to sell quick I might as well make some use of it.

THanks for the reply, wanted to know if it was mated to a 5 speed or not as you answered. I would be interested, but dont know when I would make it to the island. I have friends there, so not out of the question, but wouldnt be soon, maybe this summer.

Best wishes with whatever happens! Its a good deal!

You should try to hook up with the VI Cruisers guys for a wheeling day when you're on the island. They are a great group of guys. I miss them.
