I've seen V8 owners who have a valve cover with the top cut off that they put on for valve adjustments, keeps some of the oil in the engine...thought about doing that to an old 1F stamped steel valve cover, but the oil is really not a problem if you park on level ground. Plus I'm a fan of doing it with engine off, no rapidly turning belts to grab my necktie or ponytail.
