Ok mudders, I have a question. Today on my way to work I got into a wreck with a tractor trailer and lost
Right rear corner of the landcruiser is toast, back of body is nearly pulled off the mounts. Interior is fine, chassis is fine, engine and trans are fine.
3fe with 168k on her.

What is it worth as a whole vehicle? I know I can probably do better parting her out...

Get a tarp to keep the water out of it, the interior parts have value also.

assuming it was all in good shape before the accident with no other significant damage I usually pay about 500 for a complete 80 that has been damaged like that.

obviously you can make a lot more if you have the time and inclination to part it out and a place to do it (and keep it while you wait for the parts to sell).

Mark...

Truck is located in the Chicagoland area.

500 whole or 2000 in parts would be my ballpark. But the time invested to part it out and get the stupid frame out of the garage... may not be worth 1500 to you. It was to me. There will always be parts chilling in your garage too. Could you backhalf it? Sure would be fun and you are not messing it up any more than it already is.

first off glad your ok. second i agree with back halfing it and offroad the heck out of it. i wouldnt part out anything until i had what i wanted/needed for a "who care if i scratch it" offroad toy. (if i was you)

Based on the signature - as it's stock, what would you like to do with it?

Are you into a buyback so you can bob it & make a dirt toy, or would you rather be rid of the thing & just get another near stock 80 & move forward?

Who is at fault in this accident - if you, then a buyback/partout/dirt toy cration would benefit you better than if you have a semi driver that was on stimulants, crashed into you, and now their insurance needs to either give you fair market value or replace it with an as comperable 80 (tactic for money for a better 80)

It depends which side of the citation you are on for the accident as to what your actions moving forward, financially advantageously speaking.

I paid $2,700.00 for one the same color and model, in prestine condition. In that condition I think around $400.00. When we stripped and bobbed our 80, I tried to sell the doors, running boards, bumpers etc. and found no interest. Parting a vehicle out is not that easy, people call and don't show up, or want you to ship everything. If you are into home fabrication, I would build a flatbed truggy out of it! :)

x2 Bob it baby!:D
