Vacuum ports on intake manifold?

78 CA FJ40...there are 2 vacuum ports on manifold just below the carb. They are on the drivers side, one large port and one smaller, side by side. Where does the SMALL port connect to? It is the size of a standard vacuum hose. Doesnt show on my 78 CA emissions diagram.. Thanks for any ideas. Rob

I had a few ports just plugged off. Don't think they went to anything.

This is what the stock configuration looks like. Two vaccuum lines on the carb pedastal. One large line on the manifold goess to the PCV

The left vac. line on the carb block goes to the carb.

that port actually went to an electronically actuated valve that bolted to the fender. There were two of them. If you don't have these two electronic vacuum switches - you might as well just plug it.

The one on the right goes to the VCV.
If you're desmogged you probably don't need any of these lines( except the PCV).

Okay, so I'm going senile.

Someone just posted a real nice scan of an emissions diagram (for a '78 I think) either yesterday or the day before.
