The engine is 1HD-FT. I have no idea the turbo. Should the vacuum hose connect to? ThxThat's a terrible photo.
What turbo?
What engine?
Looks like it should go to the wastegate, but not certain from that photo
Would it be caused that the turbo does not work properly? What situation would it be when driving? ThxIs the line in question the one with wire round the end? If so it might have something in it blocking it off.
If the line is blocked off, then it's been done to 'free boost' the turbo. If it's just disconnected and open, the turbo is still free boosting but you'll have a boost leak as well.
Yes, I have the boost gauge. Normally it runs in 0.5 psi, sometime it could reach 1 psi.A lot more boost. But probably not very good for the lifespan of the turbo (some people claim to run like this longterm with no problems though). Do you have a boost guage?
And, if now the hose is not blocked, what would it cause when driving?A lot more boost. But probably not very good for the lifespan of the turbo (some people claim to run like this longterm with no problems though). Do you have a boost guage?
It should be 1 bar. :/ should I connect it back to normal or block it with a free boost? :/1psi or 1bar? You should be getting something like 10psi.
If you have a boost leak your boost will be low, but not 1psi low. If you're free boosting you should still have more than stock boost
I found the hose is blocked by some metal inside the hose! I found many oils at the outside of turbo. :/
It should be blocked by the previous owner. I found there is a long hose connecting to the wastegate actuator. It was broken into two pieces.Has it been blocked off by a previous owner, or did the nipple on the wastegate actuator break off? The hose supposed to deliver a boost pressure signal to the wastegate actuator so the wastegate opens (at around 10psi if stock). Without it, the wastegate would never open, allowing the turbo to boost as high as the fuelling level will allow (ie way too high!).

Yes, the hose is broken into two pieces. The one connecting to the turbo is sucked by some metal stuff. I will buy a long hose and make it back later. Thx.So you've got a long vacuum hose that goes from the turbo compressor housing to the wastegate actuator, but it's broken in the middle and a chunk of metal in one of the ends at the break? Or what exactly?
Vacuum hose should be connecting the turbo compressor housing nipple to the wastegate actuator as shown in the pic earlier in the thread. If someone was installing a manual boost controller, it would go in the middle of that hose, which I'm wondering is what's happened here at some point.
