Hope you guys had a good time. Post some pics when you get back.

Looks like this weekend was a work weekend. I got an e-mail from Carolina Cruisers with the schedule and camping info. Maybe you guys ran into them?

Attached is a pic of what i found at the trailhead on sunday morning. I guess after all the tire spinning and stuff i was doing saturday took a toll on the front end. Sad part is, I brought a birfield and a lockout just not a hub, got one on the 60 though for this reason, guess i will have another spare for this week after i replace this one.

We do not want to talk about pics man. The wife did not want to get out and take pics, said it was too wet. And then when she did get out she did not take the camera. Will tell you though, it was slicker than you know what out there, hope it is nicer when i go back in a few days.

As Darin has stated lets not discuss pics, have never been to Uwharrie when it has ever been that slick, been going for quite a few years now. I think, with the ability alot of us have, we should plana trip during a weekday so we encounter less trail traffic. Perhaps maybe an upcoming wednesday.

I'll probably be heading back pretty soon. Probably next weekedn with krzycanuck if he doesn't mind.
I couldn't make it this past weekend thanks to some airheaded blonde can't-drive-worth-of-s*** that rear ended me on the way to Bo's, then I'll hopefully have the Wrangler MT/Rs or the BFGs Muds on.

Got my cruiser back on the road today so will be up there by 0900 on thursday, will be staying at lower badin #21 this time. I will be there till at least sunday if not maybe a little longer, if the better half does not mind.

Ok, that's what I thought he meant. Yeah, they're still around. It just got to be a hassle to be a "club". Most of them don't get online too often either. It's the group of Cruiser guys that I wheel with. Most of the Cruisers are trail only rigs now. It is a good group of guys to go wheeling with.

We do still get together, but nothing official like a club. Some of the guys have moved to different parts of the state, but there is a group of us that stay in contact with each other on a regular basis.

Who are you referring to as the Carolina Cruisers?

R.K.

The old TLCA club out of NC based in Lexington, NC.

Jonathon Lehman in the main POC, I am on their mailing list and have tried to attend a few of their rides. Got an e-mail they were at Uwharrie last weekend to do trail maintenance. Just wondered if anyone saw them out there / got a chance to talk with them.

That is all...

Heck i did not know Jon was still around and in charge, might have to get in contact with him again, we used to meet up there at Uhwarrie a few times a year. Even did a clean up with them once. So they are mostly trail buggys now, go figure.

Jonathan still forwards the URE work day schedules out to the old list, mainly to get the word out about the work days. He isn't able to attend becuase he has moved out of the Triad area. So there probably weren't any of the "Carolina Cruiser" guys there.

Nobody is really "in charge" because it isn't a "club". It's just a bunch of Cruiser guys who enjoy getting together and wheeling. One or two have turned their Cruisers into buggies, the others are just highly modded Cruisers that don't see much highway use anymore. Our Cruisers have evolved to be able to handle the trails that are getting more difficult.

Right, that's the way I understood it. If you get a ride together and want some new rigs to ride along, give a shout.
