I'm a student at Wofford College in SC, but I'm from Greensboro, NC. I just got a '96 LC this week, and I was curious if it would be possible to tag along for this uwharriee trip? I'm not a member, as I'm very new to the four-wheeling world, and therefore little experience, but I've been told there are two "easy" trails at this OHV area. If you had room for me, I'd be more than interested in coming along.

At Uwharrie, you can do ANY trail there with a stock 80! Although one will send you home with very few dents, the rest you can get by spot free if you don't have running boards.

Is there a final meeting place and time for Saturday morning in Raleigh? I may be headed up there and wanted to know what time everyone is leaving from Raleigh.

Thanks,

I'm also interested about this place. If there's not a finite place how about Cookout on western blvd @ 7:30. Is right by 64/US1 and is somewhat in a centric raleigh area

7:30 at the Bojangles just west of the Cary Automall on 64.

Weather Channel is predicting Thunderstorms Saturday.

I'm coming up from Charlotte on Friday Morning definitely bringing the 80 and maybe the 40 too...figured out the electrical issue with help from Jim Chenoweth @ TLC Performance. Bringing the wife and kids. We are camping on the lower Badin Lake Loop. We'll plan on meeting up at the Outpost at 9AM. They have a pretty tasty country store grill / greasy spoon for breakfast biscuits...nothing fancy.

Coming from charlotte? When you veer to the right in Albemarle to head towards Troy on 24-27, a mile after it hits 55 start looking to your left (old rusty sign that says "Whitley Well Co.") for my Grey 80 and feel free to honk, I'll be working and you'll be playin.

I have 2 way walkie talkies (Motorolla) You mean the bojangles right infront of Apex High, by the Taco Bell? No way I haven't been there in forever I graduated from there.

I may add that I am not staying the night there I am coming back late Sat around 10-11ish so I can do some night mudding(never done it).

Wow wife kids.. sheesh only 20 here I guess I'll be the younging in the group

That will make it perfect there. Nothing like trying to climb some of that stuff when it is slicker than you know what.

with highway tires.. well I guess this should be some sort of traning so when I get the MT/Rs on there It'd be hell of a lot easier.

Tomorrow, please do not wait on me (at the Bo). I have to coordinate a drop off of children with a grand mother and if she is late, I may stay in Raleigh and go out to ligon mill road.

Just letting ya'll know will see whoever shows up around 0900 at the outpost, might be a little late, we are going to try and offload at our campsite first. Only a few minutes at the most ( 15 ) at the most.

Darin, i figure we will all be there around 9:15-9:45 hopefully on the trails by 10. will make sure the ones who have responded are present and then head out. I know there will be at least 2 with me.
