I'm leaving G'vegas mid or late morning. It's a three hour run. I'll set up camp then hit the range with the AP4. I want to scout the range and shoot a 100yd target with iron sights for dialing in the red-dot later. I'm also bringing a CS45. Someone wanted to shoot pistols Sunday, I'll make sure if the range is open and hours.

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again. Bring wood if you can. The deadfall is probably pretty well picked over.

Sure I do, I want to buy it. That's why I'm bringing the AR. The CS is my carry but I don't think I can wear it in NC.

Just passed David going over the Cooper River with Jeep in tow. You guys have fun. Looks like it might slicker than s*** up there.:grinpimp:

it was almost perfect actually......Friday was clear and cold up there.....saturday was overcast and cold all day....rained saturday evening and froze again for us to wake up to ice and frost on Sunday.

Great weekend of wheeling....with Dave Milligan (proinv) and his daughter, Davide Benke, Scott Shelley and his wife, myself...and Bill Wright in our group. We also had a gentleman driving a LR Defender (cant remember his name) that followed us n the trails all day and is doing an FJ40 build as well.

A little carnage but will let the owners post themselves.... You guys missed a good one.

About 10 Land Cruisers in first bunch out....then 5 in our bunch a bit later.

We ran Daniel, Kodak and Dickie Bell......

Hope ProInv, Dbenke and others got some pictures as I only got some of us waiting in line at Kodak...and one of DBENKE coming over a ledge.

I got a few, will post later as I just got home and took a shower. 8:00 now. I/ll see if I can post tomorrow night. :bounce:
Great trip, hope every one had as much fun as I did.

High kudos to the little LCC contingent. Brock brought me some cool surplus swag and a red-dot for my AR. Dave fed us well and provided a great gathering spot to tell lies and get out of the rain. David saved my rear after I messed up my FJC on the very first obstacle.
I cowboyed the first ledge on Daniel and came down so hard I bent a rim and let out the air. I've never had any trouble on that ledge and just tried to boomer through but somehow I bounced wrong and really landed hard. After putting on the spare and abandoning wheeling I found out the front suspension was knocked out so bad the tire was rubbing the upper control arm and knocking the lugs off the swamper. We weren't able to fix it after many tries and exploring options. Looks like the lower control arm bent. So David drove his Jeep to Greenville and let me trailer Bonnie with his rig. To top it off I couldn't get her out of low range. Now I have to drive it that way to Ralph Hayes or somewhere. It's been getting harder to get out of low since Cullowhee and this time we just couldn't manage it. Fortunately my street tires don't quite touch so maybe I can drive it without further tire damage.

God bless Dave for his generosity, also Dave and Brock. What could have been a nightmare turned into a mere manageable catastophe.
Thanks LCC, may much good cruiser karma come to you.

Glad we could help. That's why we joined. I hope the same would have been done for me (us).

glad to hear you guys made it safe and sound...i hated to leave you at the campground and head back to charleston but needed to be here by 2pm.......or i might not be able to play again next time. :D

great seeing old faces again...and hope you can get your rig sorted out Bill in short order without a great cost.

Maybe next time we can have double the LCLC contingent and rival the UC and ONSC on presence there...:D

Also good to see the UC and ONSC guys I met at Cullowhee this year......

I had a great time.....and props to the Land Rover guy for going with us....wish he would have done last trail and then came and ate with us as well....but it was fun and he has a very capable rig there.

Until next time...

and post some pics for me to snag so when I get the website expanded I can load up our first Uwharrie trail run as a club.
