Works for me. I'll call you this week

Have fun!!:D

looks like 4.5 hours up there....245 miles. So if we can leave around 11am that would be good for me...especially if you are driving slower. I would like to be setup at campsite at least 30 minutes before dark. I know i know...i am a puss. oh well. LOL

Hoooweee, URE. I got the day off for Friday, so I'll be heading up there sometime that morning. Get set up, maybe pop some caps at the range.
Looking forward to seeing you guys, and to one more wheeling this year.
b

That will be mighty tight in my tent. Me and my 0 deg. bag will do just fine

I always sleep alone, thanks anyway

Can't wait to wheel again.
Seems so long in between.

Scott (Greenseaman) called and said he is leaving 4-5am on Saturday....has four people but other couple might back out. Either way should be enough room or we can get another site between us.

David....how early can you leave? BillWright wants to go shooting at local range if there is still daylight. :D :D

"You talkin ta me"...or a different David. No one uses real names or signature lines anymore so I don't know how many Davids are out there.

Think I will get there right at 5ish.

meant dbenke......sorry......you are known as the "lucky bastard that won all the raffle items with the little girl that had the golden touch in pulling tickets" LOL

Just call me the "LBTWATRIWTLTHTGTIPT" for short.

Okay....here is my plan and hopefully Dbenke is good with it too...

I am leaving Charleston between 10am and 11am...heading up I-95 then skirting over to 52 and others up to campground. Expect a 4 to 4.5 hour ride depending on how fast Dbenke can go towing his jeep.

If ProInv wants to hook up near Florence or somewhere along way on 95 you are welcome to join.

Greenseaman and crew are heading out 4-5am on Saturday to arrive by 9 or 9:30am. Posts I saw on ONSC and UC mentioned meeting at Outpost Store NLT 9:30am to prepare to wheel...guessing we wont leave until 10am or later the way things go. Dont forget to buy your pass for the trail before leaving OUTPOST (that is where they are sold I am told).

It is scheduled to be in 40-50s during day and 20-30s at night...so bring good bag or someone to keep you warm. :D :D

If anyone has a mason jar or two...bring them as well. See you around the campfire Friday and Saturday night.

Drive safe and see you all there.....:D

If anyone else can make it...there are empty campsites....so come on up and meet us at Arrowhead Camp Ground.

I plan to leave 3:30ish but I go straight up I-95 and cut over Hwy38 through Bennettsville and on into NC. It is 4 lane most of the way and easier to use on Fridays especially. Check you maps, you go through Rockingham/Hamlet and hit the new BIG hwy 220.

I like this way a lot better.

I will check it out as campground directions show I95 to 164 to Darlington.....then onto Hwy52 then to SC-9 to US220. Then says NC27/24 towards Troy...left on 24/27 to NC109 (main st)....then left on reservation road....and right at Moccasin Creek Rd to Cove and camp ground.

I am going to put into a GPS tomorrow and see what it says...and compare the two. Then check my gazetteer to make sure....some one was not smoking crack when they loaded database at mapquest or whomever the campground uses...LOL

yep.....too bad you cant jump shotgun with ProInv.....lol like how i am renting out his other seat without him knowing it? LOL

Yep, hope to see you soon.... Can you and the family drive it down next weekend and roll in the XMas parade with us? Be good fun.

Ron, I got a lot to do this morn. Should be good to go by 11. I can go as fast as you on flat land, it's just the hills that slow me down. I'll call you later this AM.
