I did not want to drill holes in my dash to mount a tablet for navigation/GPS.
Have you guys seen this? It wedges between the center console and the front seat.
It's exactly what I was looking for.

Here's what it looks like.......the pump controls an air bladder that makes movement very difficult providing a very stable platform

Huh that's pretty neat if it works well. Do you have many miles on that setup? Definitely interested in your thoughts. We use our iPad for off-road nav a lot and in more than one vehicle. Would save a few hundred bucks in hardware between all of the different vehicle mounting hardware.

I just got this setup and intend to move it between cars too. The platform is very stable. I'll report back when I have some miles on it.

How is the tough-wedge working out? How stable has it been when the vehicle is driving over bumpy terrain?

No. The material that the wedge is incased in is not abrasive. It’s almost slippery. I’m really not concerned at all.

I suppose you could put a piece of vinyl over that part of the console the wedge is wedged against to provide real peace of mind.

I don't think the pressure on the seat is enough to effect it very much. My seat is real firm in that location.

Are you still using this setup ?

I am, and I still love it. It's been in multiple vehicles for me, and it's worked great. I like simple, easy, non permanent stuff like this, and it's actually more stable than the majority of "fixed" mounts I've seen. Funny enough I don't have pics of it in the 200, but here is a pic of it in a Tacoma I had for a little while. The best thing about it is you take it with you when you travel. I had to fly out to Moab instead of driving once because work was insane, and I just packed this into my backpack along with a few other small things (Inreach, handheld radios, etc.) and when I rented the Jeep to scout trails I felt like within a couple minutes I was in a familiar place with everything accessible. I recommend it, and I don't even have the version with the air bladder to tighten the fit.
