Sorry if this has been talked about before but it was really bugging me out. I thought I was pretty up on most of the 60 series options.
Saw this on Ebay a few weeks ago . An FJ62 with a five speed. Looks OEM.
I thought they were all automatics no?

Either an import or a conversion. I have all the stuff to do a conversion to an FJ62, all I need is a cheap FJ62. It's a straight forward swap.

strange - the floor mat has been cut to accomodate the foot rest that is not there and never would have been if this was always a 5 speed. Not definitive, but points to a conversion.

Whoa, nice spot. I completely missed the notch cut out of the floormat. The wife's 91 FJ80 has that foot rest you speak of.

I had a 62 once upon a time and it had the foot rest also.

all US spec 62's had the dead pedal(foot rest)

its a well done conversion, look at the wear on the clutch pedal arm(metal part) its much more worn......it came out of another rig(60 prolly)

I was getting ready to say the same as landpimp....def a conversion. Nice and slick though.

Have the seller post a pic of the data plate, it lists what trans came with the truck. It is located under the hood on the Left (US drivers side) cowl.

I was going to ask about the builders plate but the listing ended early. I would suspect they sold it at the dealer or someone offered a good price to end it early.

I agree. The cut floor mat looks just like my 1988 FJ62 auto. They removed the foot rest.
