As a heads up and only because I have gone through this very recently:
When titling a US M101 series military trailer in MD, 2 things stood out:
1 - You will have to title it as home built.
2 - If you have an A2 or A3 model the surge breaks are illegal except for boat trailers in MD and have to be removed (straight from the state inspection station). I had an A1 so not an issue but he was familiar enough with the trailers to let me know that.
Of course adding side marker lights was expected.
Just putting this out there for folks in the local area who may be considering these.
