Lets pull together as a club and try to make a good showing for the July Work Day. August and September are going to be busy for most people and i doubt we will have another opportunity till October to have a good turnout.

I should be able to make it! Anyone else from Raleigh/Durham able to go?

I'm on the work schedule for that weekend. If mgmt doesn't make us come in, I will come up and help.

just wanted to send a big big thank you to the eight ONSC members and the one guest who cleaned up 3 and a half bags of garage and other various items a couple days after this past workday.

I will be on vacation July 18th at the beach. What about August 1st?

Well, I just got an update from Terry (see below), and there is not enough Forest staff for any organized maintenance this month.

Hi Everyone – The July workday is this Saturday, July 18th. You’ll be on your own to pick up trash around the trailheads, along the trails & at dispersed campsites if you want to. I’ll be on vacation starting this Thursday so I won’t be here. We’re down to only 7 folks left on the district due to the rest being out west on fire details and it’s going to be hot & I don’t want anyone to get heat exhaustion. So if you do any volunteering this weekend just send me an email and let me know how many folks volunteered and what you did. I appreciate everyone’s hard work.

By the way, if you know anyone that you think would be a good campground host for the Arrowhead Campground we really need to get someone to volunteer for that position. We’ve gotten a few interested folks that have passed the background check but they can’t start until November. Please pass my name, email address and my phone # onto them and ask them to contact me. Thanks a lot. Bye - Terry

I want to, but have prior obligations. I hope to get it cleared out soon so I can start attending workdays again.

i'd like to but, i just gotta to stop and finish/fix some of my own stuff. I have been putting them off for to long.

A big thank you to anyone who makes it out! I appreciate yawl doing what you do! @krzyabncanuck let me know when you guys need a bobcat. I would like to rent one for the day. It's tough for me to make it up that way. Figured I can help out with the rental.

Had folks from Triad Jeep Club and Carolina Broncos out there today. Triad worked on their stuff and Carolina Broncos worked on Dutch John.

I took a bunch of pictures of our trail and posted over on FB about what I found. We have 5 issue areas that need to be addressed. All are well established spider trails that are well used and one going onto an old trail we had back in the 90's that is almost right beside Dickey Bell.
