Please mark your calendars. I don't have any specifics yet, but this is supposed to be a major work day. I will update this initial posting as I receive info from Terry.

Meeting Time and Location:
----------------------------------
We will meet with the Forest Service at 9am at the Uwharrie Hunt Camp (down the road from the Outpost). Please bring a lunch with you out on the trail. You can buy food in the morning, before 9am, at the Outpost if you don't want to bring lunch from home.

What To Bring:
------------------
I'm not sure what sort of work we will be doing, but would plan on bringing some ground working tools if you have them (shovels, hoes, hard rakes, etc.), gloves, water, hat, sunscreen. If you have a chain saw and safety gear it might be useful also.

BOD Meeting:
----------------
If you are a BOD (Board of Directors) member or interested in becoming an officer in 2012, we are planning to have a meeting to discuss remaining 2011 events and 2012 elections after the work. I am also planning to email Terry, with the NFS, to see about campsite(s) for Saturday night.

I work that morning but can be out afterward at about 130 or so. Someone would have to post up what trail everybody is on.

No can do...Sorry guys, but work has me tied up with orientation for incoming Pfeiffer students.

Went up there today. Cleaned up the camping places and really did not see too much to be done except for rebuilding the log fences where people should not be driving. Other than that our trail looked good. Now some of these others need some work / cleaning. Too much for me on my bike and had the wifes truck up there again this trip.

Hi Darin,
Thanks for the update on Wolf Den. The wood fences always seem to be falling down or are just too easy to disassemble and drive through.

FYI, on the work day we will likely not be working on our trail. Probably because our trail is in relatively good shape, the Forest Service has been focusing on other trails. Still, we could spend a little time to fix the fences and pick up trash.

It looks like I'm going to be tentative for this one now... I've got a project coming up and it looks like it will run into the weekend, depending on when we actually get started...

I couldnt get off from work for this one. If I can get a date far enough in advance it shouldnt be a problem.

FYI, the work days are currently scheduled for the third Saturday of each month. Which means the September work day coincides with Cruisin' Carolina...

I haven't heard anything from Terry so I just sent her an email about this weekend. I would expect to hear something by Tuesday or Wednesday at latest.

At the moment we have:
Clint
Eric
Johnny
Mike
ST8ROCKS
Al (after 1pm)
Brian (tentative)

Eric and Johnny (or other Triangle folks),
If you would like to caravan, let's meet at the Mobil on 64 at Farrington Rd (usual place) and plan to leave by 7:15am.

If anyone from the Triangle is interested in going but would rather carpool, please post up. We should have a couple of seats available.

Anyone else interested in volunteering?

7:15am? Jesus that's early, but I should be able to do that. Are we camping Saturday night or no?

Clint you missed me but i'll be heading out after work at 1PM.

Someone needs to post up or shoot me a message where everyone will be. :grinpimp:

I am going to try and make it Saturday. This will be my first time going to a club event and taking the LC to Uwharrie.

Couple things:
Should I take off my running boards for anywhere we are going Saturday?

I would like to join the caravan from the Triangle but if y'all go 10 over the whole way my 3FE won't keep up.

Me and a buddy will probably want to camp. What are the rules/options for camping out there?
