Hi,
I just purchased a 2004 LC and I am so stoked! The only thing is I was wondering what others have done about upgrading the radio and getting things like sattelite radio and a usb port. Would love to hear what others have done. It looks like there is no after market option to replace the radio/maps screen on this model year. For reference it has nav, radio, 6 disc cd changer, dvd player, and cassette player; Everything I could have ever wanted except a usb port, bluetooth music option, and sattelite radio.

Thanks so much in advance everyone!

Hello,

Heres the options:
Grom VLINE

68Ohm resistor to allow for any single DIN head unit

Non-nav delete(what I did)

VaisTech (bluetooth and aux input options)

USASpec BT45

I'm in the same boat. 2004 with Nav, 6 CD and DVD.

The Grom V-line is a bit out of my budget, ($650)
I dont want to tear up the whole dash so no NAV delete or 68 Ohm solution

So that leaves the BT45-TOY and the VaisTech. The BT45 is pretty hard to find online right now but its slightly cheaper. Is there any reason to choose one over the other?

Does the TOYO B3 work with LCs that have NAV? Any additional wiring harness or parts needed? Thats $100 cheaper than the other options

I have an '03 with Nav etc. You will push the Disc button to switch between suing the CD changer and using the Grom. You will unplug the cd connector, add the Grom harness, find a place to tuck the receiver, and run the mic. It's very easy and comes with everything you need. Ofcourse it only adds bluetooth audio and calls, but that is all I was really interested in.

Sound quality is excellent.

I have the same truck with the same features and just got a BT45 and adapter cable, but none of the plugs match up. Different connectors. There's a thread "hello and help"

Didn’t all 2004 LC’s come with Bluetooth phone calls?

Bought and installed the GROM BT3. I tucked the module behind the ash tray below the stereo so I can pull the tray out and get to it if I need. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Im not sure if I'm going to bother with the microphone just yet. Is there anywhere convenient folks have found to put these?

Most people run the mic cable behind the glove box, up the pillar, and across the front of the head liner, to mount the mic above the mirror. It isn't very difficult.
