Does anyone have directions/photos of the sound system? Using a flashlight it appears that the 4 door woofers are aluminum and not paper.

I would like to know how all 605 watts is split between 4 channels and subwoofer. Anyone have dimensions for the subwoofer and removal instructions. I'm thinking about putting in a JL 6.5", but it might be too deep. I've gone waaaaay too far into car audio systems in the past and what this one to look completely factory. No headunit upgrades, no boxes, no wires, no amps.

Also, any dash removal instructions?

Wire harness diagrams? I'm installing my Sirius and iPod adapters soon. I heard the LC's are a b!tch to work on under the dash panels.

Thanks!

can you get Satellite radio (Sirus or XM) as a factory option on the new LC 200?

Not as a factory option, but your dealer can install it for about $400-600.

I have the VAIS module and will be installing it myself.

I just use the AUX input for my Sirius Sportster. Much easier and cheaper.

Plus I hav efound that I get more display info throught he sportster then I ever have gotten from anything that was built in.

Minus the factory clean look...I don't have a CB to justify the added wires :)

Wire can be easily hidden....if the installer is good enough ;)

So....anyone have dash removal instructions?

When I get back from vacation next week I will scan in the stereo removal instructions from the tech manuals I have at home.

If you want you could always subscribe to:

https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInf...ET=$SM$https://techinfo.toyota.com/index.html

Toyotas technical information site. Same stuff as the service tech manuals, but you have to pay a subscription. It also includes service bulletins etc.

That would be great. How did you get the manuals? Are they printed or a bound hard copy?

I'd love to get a set, but don't really want to pay $50/month for a subscription.

Thanks!

I purchased them from a online manual company. Retail was $399 for the 4 (3 inch thick) volumes, I got them for $199.

They are the exact manuals used by the techs. The only one I could not get was the electrical manual. Even toyota parts would not order that one for me.

Just do a search on ebay for 2008 Land Cruiser Tech Manuals.

I was also offered XM....but I offered to shoot myself instead!

So what's your reasoning? Content? Audio quality? Service?

Also, I got the remote start and VIP glass break sensor installed yesterday (all day install) and will be picking it up in 2 hrs. He installed the Sirius unit as well as a hard wired radar detector wire. I drilled the blank under the VSC switch and mounted a mute button, power and alert LEDs.

Everything is better.

the content is MUCH better. I listened to the 80's channel on XM in a rent a car for a week and I recognized only about 10 songs over the whole week!

Audio quality...hmmmm it is basically all the same.

The service? I have never had a service issue, so that is not something I can comment on.
