Upgrade from 80

I have decided time is right to upgrade from my 1997 80-series with 250K+ miles to a 100. Looking for years 2004 -2007. Any advice or special quirks to look out for?

Check out the FAQ for the 100s under the Stickies. Some guidance there. You'll pay more for every year newer for the most part so look for the 04.

The only thing to worry about with an 04 is the MFD. Happens in some, not all. Kinda like HG in the 80 series.

MFD is the Multi-Function Display. It's the main LCD screen on your dash. In 04 they had some problems, reman units run about $800.

For what is worth, i turn off my display as I don't need it. It may not prolong its lifespan however on my 04.
