I was recently looking to upgrade my headlights too, had stock everything from 2002, even the bulbs - yikes. Decided to skip retrofitting HID for now and simply spend $40 on new Wagner 9012LL bulbs from Amazon. Took me longer to figure out how to get my hands in there to R/R the bulb than it did to modify the tabs with a pair of snips. At least a 50% light improvement and the is happy
