For Sale — 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser (Classic Silver)

Price: $40,000 firm— I’ll be listing it on Bring a Trailer later this week last chance before bidding!

Why I’m Selling

I never thought I’d part with my dream Land Cruiser, but our dealership just took in a Porsche Cayman S on trade, and the employee-pricing opportunity was too good to pass up.

Details & Ownership History
  • One-family truck: Purchased new in Astoria, Oregon and kept there until this year.
  • Original owner: Finnish-born WWII veteran who farmed until his passing at 101. The CarFax labels it “commercial” simply because it was his only on-road vehicle besides farm equipment.
  • Accident-free: AutoCheck reports zero accidents; CarFax lists one minor incident—a gentle bump to the rear bumper (photos included). Ultrasonic rear parking sensors were added afterward.
  • Rust-free Pacific Northwest example: Pristine paint, zero oxidation, crystal-clear headlights.
I flew to Oregon, had a dealer PPI and oil change performed (records included), then drove it 2,200+ miles home to Texas without a hiccup. Odometer now reads 100,575 miles.

Mechanical Refresh (All OEM Parts)

I work at a Land Rover dealership and had one of our master techs—who previously worked at a Lexus store—fully baseline the truck. All work is documented and completed using OEM Toyota parts. Here’s what’s been done:
  • Full OEM timing belt and water pump kit
  • Thermostat replacement
  • New spark plugs
  • Replaced heater “T” fittings and associated hoses
  • Replaced both front CV boots
  • Full fluid service (engine oil, transmission, differentials, transfer case, and AHC hydraulic system)
  • Front and rear brake pads and rotors
  • Oil pan gasket resealed
  • Installed new front skid plate
Cosmetic & Convenience Upgrades
  • New front and rear bumpers, professionally painted in-house at my dealership’s body shop
  • 5 brand-new Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 tires (275/65/18)
  • Wheels professionally refinished
  • Grom BT3 Bluetooth audio integration
  • Full exterior detail including clay bar treatment and polish
  • New wiper blades
  • Replaced chipped rear taillight
Driving Impressions

The truck feels factory-fresh—tight steering, dead-silent cabin, and a supple ride on the new Michelins. Everything works: sunroof, power antenna, center diff lock, low-range 4WD, and every light and switch.

Disclosures (Minor)
  1. Passenger-side running board is slightly bowed at the front.
  2. Windshield has a chip and a crack that lines up with the wiper in its resting position. I chose to keep the original Toyota glass, as 100 Series windshield fitment can be tricky to get right.
Closing

I’ve spared no expense treating this Land Cruiser as a “forever” vehicle; the next owner will reap the benefits. I’m happy to provide:
  • Full CarFax & AutoCheck reports
  • PPI paperwork from the Oregon Toyota dealer
  • Detailed service receipts and photos (including the minor fence bump)

I will also be updating the Google Drive link with the maintenance record photos tonight along with a picture of all three keys

Nice looking truck. Looks like you've had good bit of work done since you got it short time ago for $23k. Good luck with the sale!

If it goes to BAT I'll be curious what it brings!

Thanks! Based on the work I did to it the intention definitely wasn’t to sell so quickly but oh well. If I didn’t get internal labor rate I’d be looking at least $10k for all the maintenance and parts. Good new bumper paint job, and new tires.

Your description states new front and rear bumpers, the link to the pics shows both front and rear bumpers pretty scraped up - was that before the replacements?

Correct! Those were when I got the truck and from the “minor” on the CarFax. If you look through the rest of the photos I took some close ups of the current new OEM bumpers

Update: Just took photos entire history of service records for the truck and will be going into the Google Drive shortly. As you can see no expense was spared and first owner brought to dealership that he purchased from religiously every 5k miles.

One other more nerdy thing I forgot to mention is the production date on the VIN tag on this truck is 08/07 which was the last month of production for the 100 series before the factory switched over to the 200.

Dang, bought for 23K and listing it for 48K?

Yep, got it on a crazy good deal. With all the parts, labor, and getting it home I’ve put about $10k into it. Definitely wouldn’t have done all the small stuff if I was planning to flip it right away. One on BaT with 50k miles more sold recently for $39k plus fees so I don’t think it’s too unreasonable.

Well it was owned by a Finnish veteran and Mr. Bates works for a Land Rover dealer so how could a stock Hundo with LOW 6 figure mileage not be worth 9K less than original MSRP. Plus the bumpers have new paint!!!
Lol hate all you want but we all know it wasn't worth only $23k originally and sure is worth a lot more after all the PM and everything has been done. These trucks run forever but around this mileage there is a good amount of preventative stuff that you want to get done.

Oh i'm not hating brother, just a little jealous hehe. I recently bought a 2005 LS430 with 140K miles on it for $1500, original owner and he's an old neighbor just wanted to sell it. Sometimes we run into good deals. Put this on BAT, i think you'll get 40+

Find a local dry ice blasting place and pay them around a $500-$1000 to do the undercarriage. I guarantee you that will help bring in the big bucks on BAT. They love that kinda s*** over there.

I also encourage dry ice cleaning and BaT is the way to go. Feels like a high 30’s truck to me - the true time capsules command the most (no damage reports and no paint work).

I hope it goes for more for my sake! Glad you finally found a truck! You will regret it down the road - it’s hard work finding them this nice.

Surprisingly Austin is pretty sparse on dry ice cleaning. There’s one guy that does it and for 6 hours charges $1400 and said he could do $1300. Y’all think it’s worth the investment? What about the professional BaT photos for $330 extra?

That is very expensive but worth it. It’s around half that for ice here in Oregon and you can have it coated for around $1500 all in. Best of luck!

If you're wanting top dollar, you need a top dollar listing - $1630 would be well spent in getting you closer to asking.

Not sales related... good luck with your sale!

I work at landrover but I bought Landcruiser......made my day cheers!
