I didn't replace the tub. The "less than ideal condition" floorboards, etc. are still in place. Barely. Full tub was out of my price range.

I bought aluminum rear corner panels and side panels from Aqualu. Prepped, riveted, painted.

New steel fenders from Cruiser Corps.

New steel tailgate from CCOT.

Looks spectacular Todd, especially considering where you started.

Question: Did you cut out the rotten sections before attaching the Aqualu panels, or just rivet the new panels on top of the old? Just curious. I've seen it done both ways.

I cut it out to the extent that I could and still be able to rivet on the panels. Prepped all that, a lot down to bare metal (scraped Rhino Liner, as you may recall). Hit that with Zero Rust, primed, installed panels and painted.

There's no telling how effective any of this will be but for now, it's in pretty good shape.

1) Won't idle/accelerate worth a crap. Some combination of carb rebuild/tune, possibly additional vacuum leaks and the timing may not be set right. Or it just hates me.

2) I can't isolate the short to the taillights that drains my battery overnight.

3) I'd like my gauges to be functional. Perhaps items 2 and 3 are related.

4) It wanted to be closer to Grogan.
