ya', I would have thought if they did they'd call it out on their site.

Geeze guys i did say in my OP that "there is no bump stop in the pic" this is because when the pic was taken, we were taking measurements for the Fox Air bump stops, these are not apart of the shock and are a bump stop on their own for those not familiar with them.

Also someone asked what is stopping the axle, nothing is it was a progressive rut that i drove deeper into and flexed more and more until my spotter told me to stop, before the shock bottom out, thus giving a measurement for the Air bump.

Also someone said why not mount my shock higher so i dont hurt the shocks. Im not hurting the shocks because they aren't bottoming out the pictures were taken while getting measurements for the aftermarket bump stops lets be clear on that, the rear mount is as high as it can be without fitting a body lift which i will never ever do. Fronts are 12" travel and have more than enough up travel without fitting extended towers.

i was more worried about debris hitting the shaft of the shock, thas how i blew mine out, a rock gouged the shaft pretty good

Chassis bump stop mate. I've noted before that you could of had plenty more up travel in the rear. 14" was the incorrect length, 12" would have been bang on. I have 2" bump stop spacers on the chassis and I tuck right up to them, and the tyre still doesnt touch the body.

There is also no way to fit the fox bump stops in the rear, without major modification. You will have to cut a hole in your rear floor to have the body sit in the required position, that is with fitting the bump inside the coil, or welding the bracket onto the chassis rail, which there isn't enough room on the inside or outside of rail. If you mount them closer in to the middle then they won't be working properly and you will totally stuff your vehicles suspension dynamics.

But hey, it's all a learning curve and you went out on your own, so next time you will have the experience to improve.

14" may be the wrong length for you but its perfect for me ! Ill get the Air bumps in don't worry.

Also i think your after something totally different than me, what you might like or think is correct is not what i think is best, touring requires different things compared to the driving i do ;) i want that down travel and i dont need the up travel which i still have plenty of, as you can see the 35" tucks very very well. The 14" is the perfect length for me, the air bumps will work, and im not talking about coil bump stops, never have been.

Dude your tyre doesnt tuck at all, it's no where close to being in the wheel well and your body is tilting big time. You've spoken with Daz aswell and his kit out performs yours and its a 12" rear 11" front. The best bit is its designed for touring and play and will tuck a 35 and even a 37.

Coil bump stop refers to the location it is fitted, as you can see I'm talking about the Fox Bump Stops, which are oil and nitrogen, they are not an air shock.

But as long as you are satisfied with that quality of travel and the future degradation of performance with incorrectly installed bump stops, its all good ;)

14" shock > 12" shock for my application, yes i have less up travel but i don't need it, the tyre is more than tucked imo and i love that down travel. Not going to bag out Daz's stuff, Daz has been a big help getting me setup with the right bushs when i had incorrect ones, but that touring kit isnt suited to my driving regardless of what you have been told/sold by a business.

At the end of the day i have a fantastic setup that performs very fxxxing well and provides me with a whole lot more articulation than that is offered with other kits, especially considering the height of this car (5"). Done totally at home not done by a workshop for me and it cost me next to nothing, so im stoked with it and that's all that matters, if you want to be a fanboy and believe everything your told go and preach all you like, i don't care, my setup suits me and its improved my cars offroad and on road performance beyond my expectations.

In also relatively uncharted waters for the home installer, i found one thread on this forum in all my searching on the web for an 80 series install at home that wasn't a full on comp/trail rig and that had utilized standard mounts, so hate all you like champ, i had a go and i got a very good result.

So just keep following me around and bagging out what you don't have. :flipoff2:

Been around a lot longer buddy, so who's doing the following :p I've still got a lot to learn, but am a lot further along than you by your lack of suspension errors.

Now don't you have some suspension/handling issues to fix. But hey, you know all so I'm sure you don't have to post everywhere on whats wrong :p

I love the fact that you just have nothing, so you take a steering wobble i have developed long after fitting my suspension, something irrelevant such as worn out bushes/tie rod ends due to age that has nothing to do with my shock lengths and try to make it work, hey at least your trying, but seriously just stop.

Edit: Also i believe i have a thread on one forum, so do tell me how that's posting everywhere ? lol stop digging and refer to my larger above post it addresses everything you have said and no more need be said, your response has no actual content just a petty swipe at an unrelated steering wobble due to wear and tear that has nothing to do with my shock length (lol were you actually serious when you typed that?) and an incorrect assumption that iv posted it everywhere, you need to lift your game.

MJ80 - this is a 'nice' forum, it's not pirate - keep the f-bomb to yourself.

Seems like there is some history between you two - but no need to get nasty - and none of this has to do with the OP of the thread - just saying, do you think this is helping the origonal poster?
