Well here we go- this is a 1982 hj47 RHD that i bought here on mud from matt mcinnes- a great guy and very knowledgeable- he loved this rig and i had to pry the keys from his hands! - we flew to oz and drove it down the great ocean road before we shipped this rig and a few others over-(one of which took out a roo) i have decided to sell this beauty ONLY! because i need another truck for my business- and you all know how that goes- i will do my best and tell what i know- and please ask questions-
The goods- factory ac, rear arb air locker, pto winch, disc fronts, dual tanks, 31.10.5's with good tread left, older arb roo bar, roof rack, bucket seats( from a landrover?) custom snorkel, inline coolant heater, new fuel lines(at least what i could get to)- new front and rear bearings etc. the ride is smoother than my other rigs, and i have been gathering the parts to turn it veggie- again no time to deal with-
The chassy is rust free, the body has a few small surface spots- which i have show in the pics. Other than that its rust free- all drive train works great- the winch was the coolest thing i ever used- and i used only once- its been off road once and not beat on at all- the guy who owned this before me had his own fleet mechanic- The typical smoke at start up- and clears rite up- i have researched and it and it seems that oil is seeping at night around the valve seals- there cheap, and its easy to fix for a diesel shop- i have had the time to do this. i have not need to do any other work to this rig- the area of oz that this rig spent most of its life kept it safe from rust-
The truck is also on featured in the opening of a new show on the DIY channel called Operation Salvage- about building salvage-
The truck is for sale at our shop in Barnegat, NJ 08005- please feel free to come by and check her out- i will have a flicker page up tomorrow-
