unused connector next to the spare ?

Im doing some work and want to know whats this connector for? I traced it back and it apparently goes through the rubber grommet passenger rear cargo area. Anyone know?

Thanks any idea where can i find the harness, and is that connector 3 wires or 4?im guessing its for brake lights and signal lights only correct?

Did you look at the link @radman posted? That’s the harness. There are 2 plugs on the harness that go into 2 receptacles on the vehicle. You’ve only circled 1 of them. You’ll get a 7 pin trailer connector when using the harness.
 
There's an ebay link in @radman's post for buying the harness. There are two connectors on it, not one, resulting in a 7-pin trailer connector.

However, your picture only shows one connecter (and it has a dummy plug in it to keep debris out), not two. There should be another connecter right next to it. So it seems you're missing the 2nd connecter. Old picture of mine in that same area:

I don't think that's the hitch wiring connecter. The hitch wiring meanders over from the passenger side to the drive side:

On mine, the connecter you're pointing to terminates somewhere in the tailgate:
