They are pretty cool kits :D

Japanese relays, nice terminals, etc. I need to dig around for a 24V relay to swap into the harnesses. The harness is on par or better quality than many of the aftermarket headlight upgrade kits out there.

Just ordered 81110-60P70...excited to see this. Nice find @beno if you ever find yourself in Ventura/SB area...beers on me.

Oh great Turkey man can you explain your concern and reason for your weariness of the LED's?

As an electrician knowing a little about LED lighting I'd be interested in your concerns.

Although commercial lighting and automotive lighting are like Mars and Pluto.

I don't like the way it reflects off of things and hurts my eyes at night.

Interesting.

I know of people that due to the color spectrum of older LED lighting that can’t “see” certain colors when viewed under LED lights. Blues just disappear, basically just wash out as white. That was the most common complaint I heard about some LED lights.

The wife hated her LEDs in snow and rain. It reflected rather than cut through like a traditional headlight. The LEDs also didn’t throw enough heat to keep themselves free from ice and snow build up.

Got the following message as a result of ordering 81110-60P70

"I wanted to update you on this order. I got a note from Southeast Toyota that this part is not available through either SET or national distribution. I'm waiting to hear back from SET Parts technical support to see what options we might have. I'll be in touch as soon as I get more information. Sorry for the inconvenience. "

They are available overseas but supply is dwindling quickly... I wonder why?

We get ours from overseas, never even tried the US parts system on them.

You might as well move now. It is a non-US part. TMS USA will not move on an order unless US customs/DOT import forms, establishing that the vehicle was legally imported, are submitted prior to placing an order. Even then they will only "consider" filling the order.

Lamps shipped from overseas are still subject to inspection by DOT.

Correct, our customs broker has to have us fill out the appropriate documentation on lamps, even trim items like emblems will occasionally get flagged. I think if you were to order one or two at a time you may be able to sneak them through with minimal effort i.e. they won't even ask for documentation. Whereas we generally order in bigger bulk we get flagged on our orders every time. Bearing worksheets, anti-dumping policy forms, worksheets, etc. Our broker has become a professional with Cruiser parts LOL

How bright are the H4 LED's in a "foursome" setup :D

4 H4.JPG

The answer: Freaking bright. This is using the IPF M002/M004 harness instead of the OEM Toyota one.

Unrelated to the 4x section but if anyone finds a part number for a 24V OE harness and/or an OE harness built for the ground switched 4 headlight system, I'm all ears :D

I think the question is related to the beam pattern not fitment in a bucket.

Yep that was my question. I want to make sure I'm not blinding oncoming traffic instead of lighting up signs on the side of the road.
