I’m looking for what appears to be one of the most unobtainable parts: A functional headlamp switch for a 1973 FJ40 (manufacture date 01/1973). I think this switch (84112-20030) existed only in Cruisers built between 09/1972 and 08/1973.
Both @Racer65 and ToyotaMatt (vintageteq) have one for 69-72 years, Cruiser Cult has one for 59-68 years, and it looks like 74+ can still be easily obtained. I called Cruiser Outfitters, SOR, RedLine, etc and nobody has a 73 one or knows where to find it.
Any suggestions for where I can find this 73 switch or who to contact about possibly rebuilding/repairing the original shorted out and now damaged switch?
My 1971 40 had a bogus aftermarket headlight switch installed by a previous owner. Although I was able to purchase an OE switch. The connector (if there was one) was long gone. I still had to crimp female spade connectors on the wires that simply push onto the spades of the switch.I’m looking for what appears to be one of the most unobtainable parts: A functional headlamp switch for a 1973 FJ40 (manufacture date 01/1973). I checked Classic Cruisers before posting - they didn’t have one. I’ll try BTB. Thank you.Call Classic Cruisers at 888-376-2420 and/or BTB at 702-568-1511. They both plenty of parts vehicles they can check for you.
