The 60 share a wiring loom with the 70 series for both diesel and petrol for all the options available in many parts of the world.

The one behind the headlights maybe for headlight washers, the others ,who knows.

My 73 has 3 unused plugs under the console, probably for a rear heater, rear cig lighter, icebox.
In all my cruiser has 40 or more unused plugs.

we really need to know about this last connector, it comes off the main wiring harness, right by the passenger fire wall!

Is this a 60 or 62?

If the last one is a two wire connector, it could be for the power antenna. They came stock on USA FJ62's and (some) FJ60's were wired for them (my 1985 is). The wiring diagram shows the wire colors are L & L-W (blue & blue w/ white stripe?).

Sorry - 62 - we've found a home for the white one, and think that yellow one is an 02 sensor for one of the exhausts, and believe the blue one is unused, maybe for headlight washers....

reviving an old thread, I have traceed the blue connector, white wire is linked to the heavy wire that comes off the alternator, and of course is connected to the battery
the red with yellow goes to a 6 way connector up under the dash that goes to a leg beside a relay, that is as far as I have gotten I will post more as I can follow the wires

So put a test light on it & start operating switches! The headlight washer operates only when the headlights are on & the windshield washer is activated.

I followed the red yellow wire today after installing my new DS battery tray

it goes to the 6 way connector thru the firewall towards the fuse panel, I pulled the kick plate only to find the connector goes NOWHERE, it dead ends

so this is an unused 12ga or 10 ga wire mated with a 12v constant wire, within 2 feet of the alternator

I saw another thread about the European 80s specifically a UK 80 that has a power box with a hot, switched hot, and ground lead on it, that was not in the US 80 series, a dealer here said he has tons of these boxes, I thought it would mate to that blue plug, but no luck it has 3-4 wires,,, so I dont know if my 88 62 has a connector for that stock power box, but the dealer/supporter says he can cut the harness and sell both sides of the connector with the power box

I am trying to figure out how to use this vs buying a power distribution box from a mini van I have seen here (cannot remember what donor car it came from) to install, I want to say it was a mercury or lincoln

but either way I go it is good to know the blue plug on the DS side near the head light on an 88 fj 62,,,,,, the white wire goes to alternator/battery the red with yellow goes to a plug (that is not used) near the fuse panel
