Does anyone know if the Uniden Pro538W will fit in the ash tray like the 510xl? Can't find the dimensions. Thanks - Brad

It is larger but it will fit. It will stick out a lot further though.

Gineric, what site did you get these specs off of? I'm particularly looking for the size specs, Uniden didn't have the 538 size listed.
 
Pound, based on the info above, the 538 is a one DIN sized unit. The 510 is narrower and shallower. Therefore the 538 will not fit in the ashtray opening, but would fit in the dash if you replaced the factory deck with an aftermarket single din unit.

I have the 510xl in my ash tray slot and will safely say there is NO way the 538W will fit in the same location.

Thanks for the info guys. I've seen pics of the 510 and 520 in the ash tray slots. I'll probably go with one of those unless my radio craps out on me soon.
