What is this? This was posted on the Michelin website:

Special vehicle notes
CAUTION: Some Lexus models are equipped with uni-directional wheels. Before mounting and rotating tires, check owner's manual.

2002 Lexus LX470 Base Tires | Michelin

If you rotate per the manuals instructions your using your spare into the rotation pattern and because all tires will see each corner before making it back to the spare location they need to be able to be "rotated in both directions" that's all.

And or some vehicle have special "wheels" that want to be rotated in the same direction for air flow over the brakes and such. In other words if the rim was on the right side of the vehicle it needs to stay on the right side if the vehicle because if it was moved and turned the opposite direction it would not be doing it's job by design.

I don't think I've seen this in an LX or LC though.

Let us know what you find out.

directional tires, yes lots of those out there. Directional wheels, outside of some supercars I don't know that I have ever observed those in common truck/suv applications (though I could be wrong)
