Does anyone know if there is a rattle can similar to the lx470 underbody color? Id like to clean up and repaint some areas before the winter.

Post some pics lets see what you're working with.

For body paint you can try and color match it with some aftermarket options , there are a few different options out there for this.

For frame and other components, anything oil based will do but use caution when just rattle can spraying everything down it's not always a great fix.

Black? Sure the frame is black. I asked about the body. Looks silverish

I'm all for helping folks out when I can but this is a job for Google. Your vehicle has a specific color code that you can use to verify or most website just ask for year make model

Here is how to:

Here is another option with more color choices

People aren’t reading the question. The underbody is not the same as the vehicle exterior. It looks more like a primer. I did google it and could not find an answer. Plenty of people have found options for interior rattle can paint. Someone must have done so for the underbody???

Well, I read your question but I have no idea what you mean. How much different can the underbody color be? It may not have a clear coat and shine as much but I assume the entire body is painted the same color BUT I sure as s*** could be wrong so please educate me.

Maybe post a picture ? Why are you painting it, is it rust?

On the flipside, who cares? It's underbody paint, unless your trying to keep it showroom pretty just try and get it close enough if you can't find the right color match.... Maybe stop by local body shop for opinion ?

Buy primer. Or body color. Or black.

The matches people have found for interior color was via trial and error. Buy some primers, paint some swatches, and hold em up to your under body to match.

And you aren't reading people's questions back for clarification. Is it:

Pretty sure he's referring to the primer, not-body colored sheet metal under the truck.

Example, this is my spare tire well. The sheet metal is certainly not Galactic Grey Mica.

If that's the case, then I stick by my statement earlier. Trial and error for primer color match.

^^ Seems like this is your best way forward unless someone with prior experience doing this + still remembers color they used chimes in

Yes sir. The underside of the body. I didn’t have access to the truck when I posted so yes that seems like it would’ve made it clear. Didn’t think it would cause that much confusion though. I care cuz I don’t like having my stuff look half assed. Why all the unneeded commentary??? Plenty people on this board take the time to do things with care. I assumed someone else already been down this route. And yes there are some rust areas that need sure attention. And I want them to look like the rest of the underbody after I address the rust.

Totally get where you're coming from. My 99 LX has a more tan colored primer on the underbody, as I recall. Not a normal primer color for sure. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Bunch of tards don’t know what “underbody” means (including myself). So we’ll have to ask A.I.

Now, If somebody said “Lower body cladding,..”

Haha. I’m not asking about the cladding. The literal under part of the body. Not the frame or suspension but the part of the body that sits closest to the body mounts which has a a grey/ silver color like primer. It’s not the color of the vehicle body that you see on the outside.

Haha, picture is worth 1000 words! Seriously, you're probably the first person to ask for this color. There are several apps on phone that can generate a color code. It won't be accurate but it might be ballpark.

That’s really surprising considering the level of OCD across the forum and age of the 100 series. I picked something up earlier and will report back
