I’m wondering if the Mud brain trust can help me out with ideas. I want to install some under hood lights:

Cyclone LED 2-Light Universal Under Hood Lighting Kit - KC #355

They come with a toggle switch. I would rather use a Toyota or Lexus OEM part if it exists (I haven’t found one) or a heavy duty or marine grade switch that is activated by the hood opening. If there isn’t an OEM part, I’d at least like it to be worthy of a modern Land Cruiser. What I’ve found thus far online appear to be poor quality pin switches or things that attach to the hood strut. I don’t care how it works, just that it does...

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you seen these, supposed to be waterproof.

I used the Baja lights above and love them. Technically, the lights are switched "on" all the time as I control them with the sPOD. I thought about going with some kind of proximity switch based on the position of the hood, but realized there may be cases where I want the hood to be open without lights on and an override (or extra connected) seemed like overkill.
