does that thing do anything important.....other than hold the oem spare?



i've had my tank out for some time, doing a bit of frame work back under there. and i don't recall if that did anything with the tank or not.
mines not in the best of shape, and the truck has 33x12.50's so i don't plan on hanging a spare under there.

the short question is, do i need to have one under there?

It's only for the spare as far as I know. If you're not hanging a spare there then delete it.

Nope. Replace tank with Aussie 40 gallon unit. Drive far. Enjoy.
