Hi All,

Not sure if this is the correct forum but I need help with my Ultimate Air CO2 system. The tank is at 600 PSI with plenty of CO2. I can set the regulator to whatever pressure I need but once I start filling a tire the output pressure drops to around 30PSI even if set to 100 PSI. Once I stop filling my tire the pressure at the regulator gauge builds back up to the set pressure (takes 10 seconds). Is my regulator shot or is there anything I can "fix"?

You call Ultimate air to ask them?

I could not find the website / phone number. I think they may be out of business. Thinking about calling Powertank for help.

Last I heard Ultimate air went out of business…. Sad to say cause he was a great supporter of sport.

I'd say regulator is bad- look for a local welding supply shop or possibly a Powertank regulator for another option.

I use a beverage regulator, have for many years now. Check the local home brew shop of google it.

Interesting I'll have to check my ultimate air reg. I don't haul mine on my rig much anymore. I seem to be using it more for my home renovations. Nice and quite when installing my baseboards using the Brad nailer.

How much does your tank weigh. I weigh mine all the time to see how much I have left.
I wrote down my full weight and my empty weight U could be running out of CO2 Maybe
The gauge is actually useless. It always reads the same pressure when tank is full or Almost empty. Only time it should change is if the tank is sitting out in the sun.

The tare weight of the tank should be stamped on the neck, as you say weight is the best method to gauge how much CO2 you have. Whatever the tank weighs minus the tare weigh is how many pounds of CO2 you have left.

I love having a CO2 set up for running air tools. Really helpful for stuff like fencing or nailing up a couple of pieces of trim in the upstairs bathroom.
