That is very interesting.
How in the world is that thing in a US grocery store parking lot? Even if it was in town for armor treatment, they don't just take those things out for errands, right?
Plus I'd expect armor to get installed on a new build. This thing has been through some abuse already.
I wish I had looked closer at the license plate surround.. may give some clue to where it came from.
My wild-ass guess is mexico, considering it is LHD and has a north american tow setup. That's an OE toyota hitch.. I have one on the shelf.

wouldThere’s a company that makes magnetic graphics/panel protection for the 4Runner. I wonder what kind of demand they need to see before they’d make magnetic retro pinstripes for a 200. You cloud slap them on when you’re feeling saucy and take them off when you got tired of it.

I installed a LAMPUS loud speaker that has an audio IN. so I blast the siren and the theme song. You can see the loudspeaker just right of the license plate.
We had an epic Halloween. The purple rigid light bar setting makes it even better

Thats LC200 is from Qatar - That logo on the tail gate under the VX.R is for Al Abdulghani Motors.
There is a small loophole with the VXR with the 5.7 since its basically the same spec as the US one it makes it alot easier to import. Its the 4.0L, 4.6L and the 4.5D that is much harder.
With the comment about the hitch over the last 5yrs you see more the reese style hitch then the clamp style that was used in the middle east. It also allows to lower the ball down so the trailers can be flat something we couldnt do with the bolt on clamp style.
Decals like this are very common in the middle east. The dealerships actually order their own custom versions of things like decals, entertainment systems and are through authorized 3rd party companies like NSV.
It is being less common now as the fade is to go with solid colors, but yrs ago you could tell where the car was from (which GCC country) the engine and trim pack based off the colors used in the decal and the thickness of the lines.

Funny enough that guy is a good friend of mine. Bought the cruiser from a guy who was from Qatar. The previous owner purchased the OE parts needed to spec it to a Middle East Spec and make it a clone. Best clone I have ever seen.
this is a US SPEC LC200 converted to look like a QATARI SPEC LC200.
owner is definitely Qatari or from the GCC.
