Looking to replace the u joints on my 60, what are the best u joints to put in? and where can I get them?

pretty hard to go wrong with genuine Toyota parts.....consider how long your OEM parts have already lasted, almost 20 years, which is pretty amazing for such a high wear area......

just food for thought,

Option 1, genuine Toyota...despite the abuse I put my rig thru, I've never replaced a u-joint. Ever. Do carry spares tho, just in case.... (and would be asking for assistance if I ever DO have to replace one...)

Another vote for Toyota. expensive, but well worth it.

I got my OEM ones from SOR. I would imagine that any dealership could get them as well.
PM Cruiserdan, I bet he can get them to you as well.

OEM, not cheap but super high quailty, cost ya about $40-50 each, I have had good luck however with the TRW's on my fj80, beside that all the others I have used OEM.

What about spicer u-joints? any substance to the claims of their superiority?

Spicer Joints are good stuff. But a similar size to toyota (1310) is significantly weaker according to Jess at High angle driveline

You have to go to 1 ton stuff (1350 at least) to match the quality of Stock Toyota Joints. Apparently it is in the metallurgy...
