I have a 99' petrol prado, currently have a 2 inch suspension lift and run cooper 265/75/16 tyres.

Im looking at going bigger rubber, about 33 inch!

What would need to happen to fit this size tyre?
More lift?
Some cutting?
Has any one seen a calmini suspention lift for a prado?
How much would fuel consumption change?

I know there are already threads on these issues but they are all over the place!

Any Help would be great!

Cheers

Yes.

It depends, at least front mud flaps.

Nope.
How much would fuel consumption change?
Not much, it depends of the tires you have. Muddies take more.

Yeah thought i might have to drop the diff!
Ive seen toyota and nissan with bolt on kits to drop the diff. giving a 4 inch lift.

Has anybody seen this on a prado?????

I think you've seen these lift kits, (not what I meant)

Ok now i know what your on about! So maybe 3 inch lift with that diff drop is the way to go?

and that pic with the toyota lift is what i was hoping to chase up for my prado!

Has it ever been done for prado Tepui????

I have 305's fit on the standard alloy, balancing the 33" mudders is just a pain...You can also look at 285/75 or 255/85's all are 33"
I have fitted 30mm wheel spacers to clear the upper control arm, but if you have a lot of time you can grind a bit of it away to give more clearance ( this will save you £110). With out the spacers there is about 5mm clearance, which is not enough.
I don't have a body lift , so had fouling issues on the back end of the front fender ( in front of the doors) to over come this problem I changed the Milner coils ( don't even go down that route, waste of money!!!) for IronMan 2"lift ones and added a 15mm spacer on top of the strut/coil assembleand removed the mud gaurds.
For less hassel I will suggest , using 285/75R16's, they are the same diameter (33") the only reason I have the 305's are that I got them for a BARGEN on E-Bay.
I have a post on here some where with a write up on the suspension I have.
A good quality 2"lift suspension kit and a 50mm body lift will be the best way to do this.
On the fuel consumption, I can't really help you, cause I have a Diesel .

I have not seen these kits on Prados before, but the Prado front suspension is almost identical to the Tacoma, I would imagine it has been done, but it is not common (these lifts are popular on "street queens", or vehicles that are mostly lifted for looks, not performance).

I would recommend a suspension upgrade (Old Man Emu, king Suspension, Sonoran Steel, etc) instead of a bracket lift.

OT:
Tepui,
I noticed that in your sig, your 4Runner is coded as VZJ185. The 4Runner is N, not J (Land Cruiser). hence it should be VZN185.
