I've got a 74 with 15" Sunraysia rims, and it's time to fork out for new rubber. The tracks around Borroloola are stony and corrugated, I'm getting too many flats.

Any recommendations for good tyres available in Oz? I also do a bit of road driving, going up to Darwin, about 2000km return, a few times a year.

thanks, Peter

So far looks like a choice between Coopers STT and BFGoodrich AT, leaning to Coopers

Beanz will probably move this post soon...but I personally like the Coopers myself. The BFG AT KO are good tires also, but I hate the way they pick up so much gravel. And being in OZ, I guess traction in ice and snow is not a consideration, and that is the strongpoint of the BFG AT KO that I really like. So I guess between the two choices, definitely the Coopers for me.

I'm going with Bridgestone A/T Revo's. A little pricey but from all accounts one of the top A/T's. I love my Firestone Destination M/T's...

on my soon to arrive BJ70 i am running grooved swamper 34X9.5X15.
for serious sharp gravel i have heard the michilen XL is the way to go...
