Twin Turbo's have become mainstream in the world of big american diesels. Even twin sequentials are popping up everywhere on Cummins. Anyone ever heard of a Toy diesel with twins... especially sequential twins?

I figure the stock turbo on a 13B-T is about the right size for the 'small' turbo on a seq.t.t set-up. I just bought a cummins, whose turbo is about the right size for the big t. If I upgrade the Dodge to twins, I'll have the T I need for the 13BT. dreaming...

since you have a used supercharer sitting there for a now defunct idea, why not try it on the 13BT?

Or try twin charging. The low end torque of the supercharger and then a huge turbo for top end. Individual intercoolers... crazy stuff...

I like the idea of turbo-supercharging myself. The supercharger saves some headaches about bypassing the exhaust flow, external wastegates and whatnot.
You would have some kind of an additionnal fixed boost ratio. with the supercharger from a somewhat high-revving gasser, and an high gear ratio, you'd be boosting right from idle :D

I think there was a german firm who was selling twin-turbo kit for HDJ80 10 years ago or so. I don't know if they were parallel or series though.

The S/C has a plan already.... it's going on Tippy's 3B.

If I can remember, in twin in-line turbo setups, your suspost to use a fast spooling turbo and then one that has lots of boost.

How would you manage the arrangement between the small turbine and the big turbine. I'm thinking small turbine first with a big external gate ahead feeding the big turbine ?

You put a small turbo, fast spining no t much flow, to get some 8 max psi from 1000 to 1500 - 1600 rpm .. and the other one Garret T 26 for example, from this range and up .. with more boost .. maybe with 14 psi ..

With this setup you have good ( low but good ) boost at low rpm .. and when go up you have the other more strong turbine.
