So, I'm planning to get a 12v puma compressor, but it looks like there's a 1.5gal single-tank one for around $230 shipped, and a 2gal one for about $260. Is half a gallon of tank space worth the extra weight, bulk, and $30?

I'm getting the compressor for airing up tires, and possibly eventually getting a couple of air tools (nothing crazy), and some day bolting it in with a regulator to run ARBs. For the air tools, I'm kinda thinking I'd need a separate 10-20 gallon tank anyway, to get more than a couple second of use out of it (it's rated at 3CFM at 90 PSI for both versions, but I'm guessing they can both do more than that, and the 2gal for 33% longer.)

Thoughts?

All I can add .. is I have the single tank model and it's pretty heavy, although I would like to had the twin tank option back in the day since I'm not planning extra air tank .. but I move mine from Cruiser to Cruiser depending on my needs ..

1/2 gallon storage isn't going to make any difference for your application(s). Although I haven't used a Puma I have a hard time believing its going to pump a true 3cfm continuous at 90psi.
