Fun time. Great opportunity to learn about these trailers. My new one may be there. TBD

I will be there as well.

I managed to get the day off and will be there! My trailer is getting closer to completion. I know my custom roof rack won't be ready as of Friday and tent won't arrive until next week. It should be pretty close to being done otherwise.

Hope to see some CSC folks there. A new trailer design may be making its debut as well...

See you there

Chris and Pete nice hanging with you guys there. Good little turnout. I like Dave's newest trailer. A venturcraft on steroids. Good food and cold beer as well.

Will have a bolt in kitchen option as well. Same base platform as the other Turtleback Trailers.

Thanks for coming out! Mark even helped on the grill for a bit. That is an OZ Trail tent.

We had 3 fridges going for the cold beer. The ARB cooled the fastest, my Indel B 51 was 2nd and then new Dometic 63 was the slowest. Not a very scientific test but proved it is always good to cool stuff at least a day prior vs hours prior. Beer was room temp going in as well as Coke bottles. We ended up having to put those on ice.

I have no picture's. .....he is using his base trailer and imports a tent fron Australia.

Looks very interesting. USAVenturcraft meets 416 style trailer. Any inside shots Chris?

No but it is just a tub. When he builds the optional kitchen I will post something up. The biggest advantage to this compared to what you are Rudster have is the wheelbase. You can match your vehicle. The TB platform is built like a tank. This may not be a requirement for some but for others it is, or at least a nice to have. Right now the front of the trailer is just an open flat area. One of the Turtleback tongue boxes could be added. Dave is exploring options. The tub area is pretty deep. A long slide out would be cool to make it easy to access anything from above or the tailgate. The development of this model is in its infancy. I would expect a lot of available customization in the near future.

Here's the Expedition model with the tongue box I am referring to. Lots of extra storage there. Especially if you have a trailer with no electrical system. The height of the Getaway main tub is roughly the height of the tongue box in this photo. So a much lower profile.

Here are a few. Will be pretty much done tomorrow less the rack. Fabricator is behind and screwed up today. So more delays. It is a custom piece so no fault of the team at Turtleback. Frustrating none the less because they have had plenty of time to build it. Oh well.

Doors and tongue box were installed today. Everything will get tested tomorrow and I imagine that the roof piece will be installed tomorrow as well. Installing the rack when ready is easy.

Dual battery, 2000 watt inverter, and my solar controller from my Renogy panel setup. Just made sense to use that one instead of the standard one TBT uses. Yeah, I said I was going to keep things simple. I guess I lied..... Still need to figure out how to install my ArkPak XO Jack (That will involve some help from the welder at TBT.) Planning on having 2 Jerry Cans on the swingout but those are behind schedule as well. May borrow some rotopax for my big trip if they are not ready in time.

Punch list for tomorrow: Finish installing the swing out and propane tank holders, maybe the roof panel, test everything.

Any scrap yard gets it done for free
Yeah there is one next to Turtleback Trailers. The scale at the Truckstop is certified. Not that important for me but I am going to share the data with Turtleback. They have updated some stuff since the last time they had one weighed.

Everything but the rack is now done on the trailer! That should be ready no later than Friday. I am still waiting on the Jerry Can holders. They won't be ready for my post X-mas trip. I am going to use a 3 gallon Rotapax on the tailgate until that gets finished and then maybe throw one of my jerry cans on my roof rack.
